Hedera canariensis: Characteristics and Care
The Hedera canariensis, popularly known as Canary Island Ivy, is a perennial climbing plant native to the Canary Islands and North Africa, distinguished by its large, glossy, dark green leaves that adhere to any surface using aerial roots.
Its climbing and spreading ability and dense foliage make it a very practical option for covering walls and fences, as well as for use as a groundcover in shaded areas.
It tolerates shade and various soil types well, provided they have good drainage; it benefits from regular watering in its first years.
At Ornacom we cultivate each specimen directly, guaranteeing a balanced size and vigorous development from the first years of planting.
