The Chamaerops humilis ‘Solid Green’, popularly known as intense green European fan palm, is a selected variety of the European fan palm, characterized by foliage of a more uniform and intense green color than the species type, maintaining the same shrubby and multi-trunked habit.
Its uniform foliage and compact habit make it a highly decorative option for both mass plantings and specimen plants in Mediterranean gardens.
It tolerates drought, wind, and poor, calcareous soils very well once established, being one of the most cold-hardy palms.
